How to customize COMPACT Analog outputs_En_V1

Created by Mikaël MAUNIER, Modified on Mon, 30 Oct, 2023 at 5:07 PM by Frank ROIG

When the analog outputs +/-10VDC of the COMPACT are not used to drive a speed or voltage regulator, it is possible to reallocate them to other uses.

This customization is possible on all the modules of the COMPACT range including those which indicate "not used" on the labels of the outputs.

Speed" output procedure:

To access the customization of the outputs, it is necessary to activate the following parameters:

For the "Speed" output (J2-5 & J2-6), parameter 2213

2213 must be set to "1" in the configuration/programming/Modify by Var Number menu.

Once the parameter is activated, the output will be available for writing in the variable 2214, its value varies from -1000 (-10VDC or -100.0% of its value) to +1000 (+10VDC or 100.0% of its value).

The writing of 2214 can be done via Modbus or via an internal programming of the controller like EasyFlex.

Application examples:

1. To report the power output of the GE as % of nominal on the analog output, it is necessary to program an EasyFlex line like this:

2214 (speed out custom) = Percentage of active power (kWGE01).

2. To transfer a generated user setpoint to a user variable, you must do as follows:

If the Unsaved VAR 1 is a % value, it must be multiplied by 10 to match the scale of the 2214 variable.

"AVR" output procedure:

The procedure is the same as for the speed output, using the following variables:
Activate variable 2255 (set 1) to use the AVR output in a personalized way.

Once the parameter is activated, the output will be available for writing in variable 2256, its value varies from -1000 (-10VDC or -100.0% of its value) to +1000 (+10VDC or 100.0% of its value).

End of the procedure
